Tall Ships on the River Tyne
Summer 1986 see’s the arrival of the Polish ship “Dar Mlodziezy” under tow into the River Tyne. Already moored (centre of picture) is the world’s largest tall ship with an overall length of 117.5 metres, the Russian ship “Sedov”. Also moored (right) is the Russian four masted barque “Kruzenshtern”, altogether a fine sight of three of the worlds most magnificent tall ships.
