Horatio in tow
The full rigged whale ship “Horatio” was built by M Bayles & Son at Port Jefferson, Suffolk County, State of New York in 1877, being of 349 tons and a length of 115 feet.
“Horatio” as shown in this painting operated from the whaling port of New Bedford, Massachusetts. She was considered one of the finest ships in the fleet.
